TRADE IN POLICIES
To trade your books for in-store credit, bring us a bag or a reasonable sized box any time we are open! We will take 7-10 days to process your trade- in, and we will award you up to 40% of the price. In-store credit spends like cash and does not expire

We accept clean, unstained books, movies, and games in good condition. We particularly look for new releases, young adult, classics, and collectables, but are happy to accept anything of good taste. Contact us for more details and start trading in your old for new today!

FAQs
Why is it called Page 42?
Our namesake is the book Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. In it, there is a running joke that 42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything. (Though we still don't know what the question is) And that is exactly what we hope for you to find in our store! Page 42 should have books for every reader.

Do you pay cash for books?
We do pay cash for some items. To be eligible for cash purchase, a book has to have a higher value than just our run of the mill fiction and non-fiction. Some types of books we have paid for include antiques, collectables, complete series sets, and current college textbooks. We can always pay more in store credit than cash.

Do you do pick-ups?
Generally we do not do house pickups except in the case of estates. If you want to inquire about pickups or house calls, please give us a call or send us a message on Facebook or Instagram.

When is the next quarter sale?
We host our 25 cent book sales every 4 to 6 weeks during the months without snow. How soon the next one is depends on the quantity of books we are processing at this time.
